Magnolia Grace Welsh, 17 months, went home to Jesus on Easter Sunday, March 31, 2024. Magnolia was a Louisiana native, born at Fort Polk, on October 25, 2022. June 9, 2023, Magnolia was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. She was receiving treatment at Children’s Hospital New Orleans. She fought with grace and a smile on her face. She was a light that could brighten the darkest places.
Magnolia loved animals, specifically ducks, horses, her dogs, and her cat. Magnolia enjoyed music; she would sing and dance every chance she got. She loved Ms. Rachel’s music and the songs her mom and dad made up for her. Magnolia’s most treasured moments were being snuggled with her parents.
Magnolia is survived by her Father and Mother, Kyle and Kirsten Welsh. The family will receive friends from 1:30pm until 2:30pm at St. Patrick’s Church. A mass and Christian Burial will be celebrated at 2:30pm at St. Patrick’s Church, 724 Camp St. New Orleans, La., with interment to immediately follow at St. Louis Cemetery #3.
For those who wish to send flowers, please send them to St. Patrick’s Church. For those who wish to donate to Magnolia’s Funeral Expenses, please contact Kyle or Kirsten Welsh for details.
