Marcia Santana, 60, went to be with her Lord on Thursday, April 21, 2017. Ms. Santana was a native of Pinal del Rio, Cuba, and has lived in New Orleans for the past 46 years. She was a graduate of Warren Easton High School class of 1976. Loved by so many, she dedicated her life to the care of others. Her family was her main passion and she was the force behind their strong unity. Preceded in death by her mother Haydee Santana. Survived by her loving husband John Madere, 2 daughters, Jennifer Garcia Cordero of Port Saint Lucie, Florida and Nathallie Tejeda Strickland (Stephen) of Metairie, Louisiana. Granddaughter, Ivelise Caridad Cordero. Father, Mario Santana Sr. of Saint Rose, Siblings Mario Santana Jr (Andrea) of Houston, Magaly (Alfredo) Alayon of Miami, FL and Mayra Dewey (Michael) of Metairie, Louisiana. Nieces and Nephews Michelle (Timothy) Poplin, Daniel Santana, Cortnie (Michael) Huey, Jason Santana, Jorge (Adrianna) Alayon, Giovannie Alayon, Grace Rodgers and Scarlette Wallace. The family will receive friends Monday, April 24, 2017 at Jacob Schoen & Son Funeral Home from 9:00 AM until 12:00 PM with a service following at 12:15 PM in the J. Garic Schoen Chapel with interment to follow in St. Patrick #1 Cemetery.
