Thomas (Tommy) Joseph Russo was called home to his Lord and Savior on February 16, 2017 in Slidell, LA. Tommy was born in 1944 and spent the majority of his life in New Orleans. Tommy was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Russo and Josephine Motto Russo.
Tommy is survived by his wife of 45 years, Marie Ragas Russo; his daughter Denise Burnthorne (David), his son Todd Russo (Scott Vaughn) and his cherished grandsons Dustin Thomas Burnthorne, Dylan Luke Burnthorne, and Robert Joseph Vaughn-Russo. He is also survived by his sister Antoinette Russo Penton (Charles). Tommy was a member of The Village Lutheran Church in Lacombe, LA. 
Tommy recently retired from D&W Papers and Mac Papers where he worked for 50 years.
Tommy loved the Lord, loved his family, and loved his life. Tommy will be missed by all who knew him.
Family and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Service on Monday, February 20, 2017 at 11:00 AM in the J. Garic Schoen chapel of JACOB SCHOEN & SON FUNERAL HOME. Visitation will be begin at 9:00 AM and continue until service time. Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery. Condolences may be expressed at www.schoenfh.com
