November 28, 1936 ~ July 13, 2021 (age 84) 84 Years Old

Tribute

Beryl Petrich Willoz, 84, of Mandeville, LA, passed away peacefully on July 13, 2021, from natural causes.  Born November 28, 1936, in New Orleans, LA, Beryl attended Sacred Heart High School.  She grew up in Mid City, and later lived in Metairie before moving to Mandeville.  She was married to Harold Eiswirth early in her life, with whom she had two children, and later to James Willoz with whom she had one child.
An accomplished cook, her recipes secretly graced the menu of more than one New Orleans restaurant and her Cajun and Italian specialties were loved by family and friends alike.  Some of her favorite times were spent on the water, fishing with family and friends.  She enjoyed her garden, her flowers and especially her beautiful peacocks.  She loved her cats and was a friend to all creatures, fostering all manner of animals in need.  Even more so than to her animals, she was a friend and support to all people who knew her and drew meaning for her life from serving others.
Beryl was preceded in death by her mother Alice Petrich and father Lee Petrich, and by her beloved son Michael Eiswirth.  She is survived by:  her daughter Karen Alexander (Eiswirth); her daughter Desiree Willoz Drake with her husband Chris Drake; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
The visitation will be held at Jacob Schoen & Son Funeral Home, 3827 Canal St., New Orleans, on Monday, July 19, 2021, from 11:30 A.M. until Mass time at 1:30 P.M.  Following the visitation and Mass, a burial service will take place at St. Vincent De Paul Cemetery No. 1.
