Debra "Debbie" Fernandez Loev
March 23, 1954 - May 13, 2022

It is with great sorrow that we announce the unexpected and untimely passing of our beautiful daughter, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother and friend Debbie. Debra "Debbie" Fernandez Loev of Metairie, LA passed away at her home on Friday, May 13, 2022 at the age of 68.
Debbie was born in Tampa, FL to Ejerico Fernandez, Jr. and Shirley Bossenmeyer. The family relocated to Metairie when she was a baby. She graduated from Grace King High School, studied at University of New Orleans and then worked as a real estate agent for 20 years. She enjoyed horseback riding, playing with cats, smelling freshly cut lavender in Southern France, listening to "Scoot on the Air'' and, most of all, spending time with her grandchildren who called her "KitKat". Her easygoing, friendly personality and huge heart made her a joy to be around.
Debbie was preceded in death by her ex-husband and friend Robert Loev, uncles Robert Bossenmeyer (Debbie) and Joseph Bossenmeyer (Norma) and grandparents Joseph Anthony Bossenmeyer, Sr., Rose Stempel Bossenmeyer, Ejerico David Fernandez Sr. and Ofelia DelRio Fernandez.
She will be deeply missed by her daughter Dana Radu (Richard), mother Shirley Fernandez, father Ejerico Fernandez, grandchildren Raphael and Isabelle Radu, cousins Ashley Dartez (Jeremy), Gary Bossenmeyer (Jamie), Karen Duvieilh (Richard), David Bossenmeyer and James Bossenmeyer, in-laws Deanna Lavergne (Jean-Louis), Miriam Radu and Patrick Radu and friends Eilene Spizer, Darlene Haase and Lavelle King.
Friends and family are welcome to attend Debbie's Graveside Service at Metairie Cemetery (The Chapel Niches of Metairie Garden Estates) on Friday, May 27, 2022 at 10:00 AM. The service will be officiated by Rabbi David Gerber. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in honor of Debbie to Heart N Hands.
