Earl Morris Pansano Sr.

Earl Morris Pansano, Sr. was born on September 27, 1930 and died peacefully on June 10, 2021, at the age of 90.  A lifelong resident of New Orleans, LA.  Beloved husband of Peggy Lemoine Pansano.  Father of Earl Morris Pansano, Jr. (Susan) of Metairie LA, Patrick James Pansano (Virginia) of Slidell, LA and Charlene Anne Pansano McQuade (Michael) of Limerick, PA.  Grandfather of Sarah Elizabeth Pansano Molidor, Lindsey Virginia Pansano, Cameron Genevieve McQuade, David Michael Bowman and Christopher Sidney Bowman.  Great Grandfather of Margaret Elizabeth Bowman, Sarah Mae Bowman, Charlotte Grace Molidor and Ellison Ruth Molidor.  Earl was preceded in death by his first wife of 54 years Julia Ruppert Pansano, his parents Charles William Pansano and Wilma Fostina Gauthreaux Kuntz and his brothers Jerald William Pansano and Charles Carroll Pansano. He is survived by his sister Jacqueline Ann Doherty of Baton Rouge, LA. Earl was a parishioner of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church. Earl served in the United States Air Force in Korea and was a staunch supporter of Veteran’s causes throughout his life. He remained active in the Forty and Eight and the American Legion Post 307, where he served as Post Commander from 1997-2013.  Upon discharge from the United States Air Force at the rank of Staff Sergeant, he continued his dedication to civic service by joining the New Orleans Fire Department, where he retired as a Captain after a distinguished career. Relatives and friends are invited to St. Francis of Assisi Church, 631 State Street, New Orleans, LA on Tuesday, June 29, 2021.  Visitation is from 10:00 AM to Noon followed by a Funeral Mass. Interment then follows in St. Vincent de Paul Cemetery #2, 1950 Soniat Street, New Orleans, LA. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Francis of Assisi Church or organizations supporting U. S. Veterans.
