Elsa Sanchez Kreider

Elsa Sanchez Kreider, age 87, died peacefully at home surrounded by her three loving daughters on July 19, 2020. Elsa was born in New Orleans and loved Mardi Gras, The New Orleans Saints, Christmas and spending precious time with her family. She was an active member and treasurer of the Garden Club for over 40 years where she had many cherished friendships. Elsa is survived by her three daughters, Kim K. Chartier, Krista K. Caccioppi and Karla K. Kreider (Maribeth); her grandsons, Chad Caccioppi and Karson Rhodes; her granddaughters, Jennifer Barber (Jeremy) and Tessa Deslatte (Chris); and affectionately known as “Old Maw-Maw” to her great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn and Kali Barber, Gavin and Logan Deslatte and Salvador Ciolino. Elsa is also survived by her only sister, Virgin S. Alhaits. She is preceded in death by her husband, Roy Paul Kreider; mother, Catherine M. Sanchez; father, Edward Sanchez; grandson, Salvador J. Caccioppi, III and brother, Carol DeGeorge. Elsa will be forever remembered and treasured by her family and many friends. Services will be private at Jacob Schoen & Son Funeral Home.
