Eugenie Armagnac Tramontana passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, January 9, 2019 at the age of 92. She was born in New Orleans to the late Eugene Armagnac and the late Josephine Bucca Armagnac and was sister to the late John Armagnac (Cathy). She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Eugenie was the wife of the late Ralph Joseph Tramontana. Beloved mother of Paula Erath (Harold), Cindy Baer (David) and Rosalie McGraw (James). She was affectionally called “Maw Maw” by her 9 grandchildren Allison Shipp (Micah), Jeffrey Erath (Hari), Daniel Erath (Mariella), Marcelle Gruezke (Andrew), Christopher Baer (Brittanee), Kevin Baer (Lauren), Megan and Maddie McGraw, and her great grandchildren Savannah, Parker, Brady, Mason and Emilio. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
She was a graduate of John McDonough High School. She was a parishioner of St. Frances Cabrini Church where she served as a Eucharistic minister and was an active member of their prayer group until just a few years ago. More recently she was a parishioner of St. Philip Neri Church. Her main passions were her faith, her family and her friends.
Friends and relatives are invited to celebrate Eugenie’s life on Saturday, January 12, 2019 at Jacob Schoen & Son, 3827 Canal Street, New Orleans, visitation from 9 till 11 am followed by a Catholic Mass at 11 am. Burial at Greenwood Cemetery.
