Evelyn V. Ringe

Evelyn Vergenz Ringe, age 79, born August 1, 1939 in New Orleans, passed away in her Slidell home on Saturday, December 1, 2018. Wife of the late Edwin E Ringe. Daughter of the late Antoinette Clavier Conley of New Orleans and the late Henry Martin Vergenz of Watertown, Wisconsin. Mother of Ann Marie Cusimano (Robert Beck), Edwina E Ringe, Antoinette A Ringe (Jones) and Donna Ann Marie Ringe (Walter Joseph Gholson). Grandmother to Sean Robert, Nicole Monique, Sara Joelle, Joanna Lynn, Wayne O’Neil and Frank Edwin. Great grandmother to 15.
Preceded in death by one brother and five sisters. Santo Dominic “Frank”Mangipano, Juanita Mangipano Plaisance, Lydia Vergenz Chastant, Rosalie Vergenz Williams, Sandra Vergenz Vedros  and Beverly Vergenz. She also has a host of nieces and nephews. Evelyn graduated from Sacred Heart of Jesus in 1957. Worked for South Central Bell, Meraux United States Post Office and Belle Chasse State School. She loved playing cards and was an avid Saints fan. In fact, last words she spoke were on Thanksgiving day when they won. She said “Woo-Hoo!” Relatives and friends are invited to attend a service at 1:30 pm on Monday, December 10, 2018 in the J. Garic Schoen Chapel of JACOB SCHOEN & SON, 3827 Canal Street, New Orleans, LA. Visitation will be from 10:30 am until the time of the service. Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery.
