Giorgio Scala

Giorgio (George) Sergio Scala, Sr. passed away on Saturday, January 9, 2021 at the age of 74. He was a resident of Metairie after coming from Trieste, Italy in 1956. He attended Sacred Heart of Jesus School. For 54 years, he was the beloved husband of Beverly Bouchon Scala. He was also the loving father of Gina Scala Perret (Edmond), Giorgio Scala Jr. (Courtney), and grandfather of Edmond (Tré) Perret III, Julia Perret, Ava Perret, Giorgio Scala III, and Giuseppe Scala. He was preceded in death by his parents Giuseppe Scala and Maria Visintin Scala; brother Carlo Scala, sister Renata Scala. George enjoyed time spent with his family and his grandchildren. He loved his family, cars, fishing, and the Saints! Of all the things in George’s life, he took pride in his business, the Beachcorner Bar & Grill. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at 12:00 pm on Monday, January 18, 2021 at St. Catherine of Siena Church, 105 Bonnabel Blvd., Metairie, LA, 70005. Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM and continue until Mass time.
