Harold “Chubby” John Doyle Jr. joined his beloved wife Norma Galatas Doyle in Heaven on January 3, 2018.  He is survived by his sister Linda Doyle Christiana; his children John Thomas Doyle (Peggy), Timothy Joseph Doyle (Becky) and Michael Patrick Doyle (Katrina); grandchildren Makayla “Sugarbabe” Marie Doyle, Joseph Vincent Lacombe and Joshua James Latino; a host of nieces, nephews and family members; and beloved disciplinarian extraordinaire osephine. He is preceded in death by his sisters Florence Doyle Thiberville, Joan “Pat” Doyle Hobley, June Doyle Rouck and his parents Harold John Doyle, Sr. and Veronica Martinez Doyle. 
Lovingly referred to as “Chubby” by family and friends, he was born and raised in New Orleans, LA. He proudly served in the United States Army where he fought in the Korean War. Upon return to the states, he spent his career as a machinist at Meco for over 30 years. Chubby was a lifelong LSU fan and shared his passion for the Tigers with many family and friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the services Monday, January 8th, 2018 at JACOB SCHOEN & SON, 3827 Canal Street, New Orleans, LA 70119. Visitation is for 9:00 am. Service will begin at 11:00 am with interment to follow in Cypress Grove Cemetery.
