James Lee Prince Sr. “Jim”, age 74, passed away on Sunday, November 4, 2018. Jim was born June 29, 1944 in Youngstown, OH to the late Adrian and Evelyn Prince. He was raised in Ohio, joined the Coast Guard at age 18 and went on to serve his country proudly in the Vietnam War. He married Linda Sarradet in New Orleans in July, 1967 and they raised 4 children, Laurie P. Fererro, Jimmy, Josh (Christie) and Greg (Amber). Jim lived a fulfilling life as a brother, husband, father and friend and resided in the New Orleans Area for the past 30+ years. He leaves us with wonderful memories with his 2 sisters Diane P. Boyarko and Debbie P. Andrews, his late brother Harvey “Red”, his 8 grandchildren - Luke Fererro, Maggie Fererro, Brent, Abigail, Olivia, Alex, Nathaniel, and Gabriel, nephews, nieces, and friends. Jim had passions for vintage aircraft, skydiving, warm weather, jelly beans, and long, long walks around the Greater New Orleans Area. Those wishing to honor his life may offer masses or make donations in his name to the Wounded Warrior Project. A private funeral service with military honors will be held on November 9th followed by a celebration of life with immediate family.
