Tribute

Jan Louise Sullivan Latter entered her eternal rest on May 20, 2022 at the age of 68. A native of New Orleans, Louisiana, she is survived by her beloved husband, Stanford; her children, Ryan Fraught (Elizabeth) and Christian Fraught (Jessica); granddaughter, Sophia; two grandsons on the way; two stepchildren, Lisa Latter and Cindy Latter; and step-grandson, Quintin Richter. Siblings, John Lawrence Sullivan (Eileen), Jackie Louise Sullivan, Jack Lawrence Sullivan (Michele), and sister-in-law, Gwen Sullivan. She was preceded in death by her father and mother, Michael Lawrence Sullivan and Marie Arnoult Sullivan; brothers, Justin Lawrence Sullivan, James Lawrence Sullivan, and Jay Lawrence Sullivan. She is survived by many nieces and nephews as well as by many great-nieces and nephews. Jan’s life was filled with a commitment to education. She graduated from the Touro School of Nursing before continuing on to receive a Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing from Loyola University. She later returned to Loyola to earn a Master’s of Science in Guidance and Counseling while working full-time at Touro Hospital. She then went on to receive a Master’s of Science in Nursing from the University of South Alabama. Jan dedicated her life to treating her patients through her work as a Nurse Practitioner at Internal Medicine Specialists and worked tirelessly to care for her friends and family. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend who was known by many, and beloved by all. The family would like to express their gratitude for the tremendous care that Jan received at Touro Infirmary, especially, Dr. Charles Smith, Dr. Salvator Caputto, Dr. Leonard N. Glade, Dr. Eduardo Rodriguez, the entire T-7 nursing staff, the staff of The Infusion Center, and Elizabeth Cabrera. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, May 25th from 9 AM until 12:15 PM at Jacob Schoen and Son Funeral Home, 3827 Canal St., New Orleans, LA 70119. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in the J. Garic Schoen Chapel at 12:15 PM with interment to follow in Metairie Cemetery.
