Judith Glas Haller

Judith Glas Haller passed away peacefully at home on February 25, 2023 at the age of 82. She was a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Metairie, LA. Loving mother of John Gary Haller, Jr., Jeanie Haller Campbell (Daryl), and Christopher Glas Haller. Loving grandmother of Lauren Marie Campbell and step-grandmother of Kayla-Nicole Campbell. She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, John Gary Haller, Sr., her parents, Rudolph Jeremy Glas and June Rowley Glas, sisters, Jerelyn Glas Kaiser and Joanne Glas Redmann (Richard) and brother, John Rowley Glas (Mary). She is survived by sisters, June “Jinx” Glas Fromme and Jennifer Glas McElhinney (Doug) and her brother, James Perez Glas (Janice). She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. She was a graduate of The Most Holy Name of Jesus School, Mercy Academy and Loyola University. She was a PE teacher at Warren Easton High School before becoming the Financial Aid Officer at Charity School of Nursing. After retiring from Charity, she enrolled in classes and became a Black Jack dealer at Harrah’s Casino. She thoroughly enjoyed her time at Harrah’s, made many new friends and loved meeting the card players. She loved to travel and enjoyed her hobbies of fishing, making her infamous holiday themed necklaces and earrings and playing cards. Like all the Glas Family, she also loved having her picture taken. Judy, fondly known as “JuJu”, loved her life, her family, and friends and will be missed. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial mass at Greenwood Funeral Home, 5200 Canal Blvd. New Orleans, LA 70124, on Monday, March 6th.
