Tribute

Lawrence James Warren II
Departed this life too soon on April 13, 2021 on the capsized wreck of the SEACOR Power aged 36 years. Our “Little Larry” is a beloved husband, father, son, brother, nephew, cousin, and friend to the Warren, Boeckl, Prendergast, Schehr, Shields, Vega, and many, many other families. Larry will be fondly remembered as the best Dad in the world to his “Bean”. He did it all to provide a better life for Lola and Lynn. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends whenever he could.

He was a proud Coast Guard Chief Engineer / Chief Marine Engineer and a member of the Maritime Union and was always working on achieving the next certification for larger ships. He traveled the world on merchant vessels in the tradition of his late grandfather Hubert Emile Boeckl who was also a mariner. His family and friends enjoyed spending time with Larry and listening to his tales of life at sea.

He is the husband of Lynn Shields and father to their daughter Lola Ann Warren. He is the son of the late Trudy Ann Warren, Lawrence James Warren I, and stepson to Joni O. Warren. He is the son-in-law of the late James E. Shields, Sr., and the late Barbara Gentile. He is the brother of Emily Warren and brother-in-law of James E. Shields, Jr. and Pamela Shields Broussard. He is the maternal grandson of the late Delores Vega Boeckl, the late Patrick Myles Prendergast, Jr., and the late Hubert Emile Boeckl. He is the paternal grandson of the late Charles A. Warren II, and the late May Mayer Warren. He is the maternal nephew of Patrick Myles Prendergast III and Karen Prendergast, Debra Prendergast Swan, the late Douglas Prendergast, Frank Emile Boeckl and Laura Railey Boeckl, Paul Joseph Boeckl and Sandra Sauer Boeckl, Denise Boeckl Hubbard and Charles Hubbard, and Melissa Boeckl Schehr and Kevin John Schehr. He is the paternal nephew of Charles A. Warren III, Doris Warren Esteve and the late Al Esteve, and Sharon Warren Favalora and Butch Favalora. He is also survived by many, many loving cousins from all the families that are too numerous to list.
