I met Louis in college 1n 1960. He sat in front of me. He went to work for Sears. I went to work at Allstate at Sears. We became best friends.  He and I and TEX  another friend got an apartment on Elysian Fields avenue in New Orleans. I later married and moved into my own apt. We still remained friends.  We actually went into mail order business part time together.  He got transferred to, I believe, Saudi Arabia as an accountant. . When he and Maria came back, our friendship grew.
He and I would got to lunch together, some times as many as weekly. He never gained weight but I did.
I will have a problem going to Shoney's, if they reopen, without seeing my BEST FRIEND LOUIS there. He IS my longest friend. He never seemed to hurry and was always patient with me.

 I mess you Louis.,
your friend

Lisa, words cannot alleviate the pain of losing someone close to you especially a parent. Ann and I are sorry for your family’s loss but hope this tree flourishes in your father’s name.
