Marguerite G. Maranto died peacefully on July 26, 2021. She was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Mario Maranto with whom she traveled the world. She is survived by her son, Jake M. Graffagnini, Jr., two grandsons, Jake M. Graffagnini, III, and Joshua J. Graffagnini and a great grandson, Jonathan Graffagnini. She was the third born in a large family of 10 children born to Giuseppe Graffagnini and Laura Graffagnini Leto on May 19, 1927. She is survived by two sisters and one brother and a host of nieces and nephews. She was the Queen in her household and served as Queen of the Krewe of Venus in 1980. She loved Mardi Gras and her beloved Saints. She never missed a parade or a football game if she could help it. She was a Saints season ticket holder for 30 years and attended every game. She was a member of many organizations through the years with the latter being the Red Hat Ladies and the Saints Touchdown Club. She was always happy and lived life to the fullest and her joy was infectious. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM on Thursday, July 29, 2021 in the J. Garic Schoen Chapel of Jacob Schoen & Son, 3827 Canal Street, New Orleans, LA 70119. Visitation will begin at 9:30 AM. Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery.
