Marion Lucille Martin Thibodaux celebrated 83 years of life through April 18, 2021. She is predeceased by son, David Thibodaux and granddaughter, Therese Schroder. Marion is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, Raymond Anatole Thibodaux, Sr. She leaves behind her children, Natalie Thibodaux Gentile (Nick), Raymond A. Thibodaux, Jr. (Lisa), Jan Thibodaux Milan (Kalvin), Frank Thibodaux, Paul Thibodaux (Laurie) and Marion Thibodaux Schroder (Darren). Marion is the daughter of the late Frank Leon Martin, Jr. and Marion Lucille Musacchia Martin, sister of the late Lydia S. Martin and late Francis L. Martin. Grandmother of Raymond “Ray” Thibodaux, III (Shaun), Desiree Thibodaux, Nicholas and Julianna Gentile, Jessica Lemoine Cole (Ryan), Erin and Jenna Thibodaux, Quinn and Haley Thibodaux, Kaitlyn and Cassidy Schroder. Great-grandmother of William and Thomas Cole. Survived by nieces, and nephews of the Martin and Thibodaux family.
A native of New Orleans, LA. Her passion in life was caring and loving her family. A loving mother and homemaker, Marion was a remarkable cook and enjoyed preparing meals for her family, especially over the holidays. Her hands were rarely still and she enjoyed sewing. She passed away due to complications of kidney disease. It would be wrong to say that Marion lost her battle because she never stopped fighting. No matter how sick she was, she was always determined. When anyone else would have broken, Marion stayed strong. Through her, we know what resilience and perseverance truly look like. There was no quit in Marion. Just because she is no longer here, it doesn’t mean she lost her fight.
