He was a Parishioner for over 50 years of Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church in New Orleans, LA. He served as a lector and Eucharistic Minister, and was active in their Men's Club, Holy Name Society, and the St. Vincent de Paul Society. Paul was devoted to our Blessed Mother, Mary, and prayed to Her daily. Paul was fluent in French and Spanish and greatly enjoyed being able to converse with others who were, up until his last day. He was the embodiment of the French phrase, “joie de vivre”, which he received from his mother, Mere.
We are grateful to the staff of Our Lady of Wisdom, who provided him with wonderful care. Many of the staff have shared their stories of him and their fondness for him.
Every time we left his company, he told us, "Vaya con Dios" (Go with God)!
In lieu of flowers, kindly send donations to Archdiocese of New Orleans Catholic Charities.
