My Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ, may God wrap you in His loving embrace during this time. Pastor Ed and Ms. Marjorie were such an important part of my family's lives. They embraced us as members of The Village Church in Lacombe, where Pastor Ed married us, baptized our son and buried our son. We thank God for the love, support and guidance the Homrighausen family showed us during each of these times in our lives. We remember you each fondly and have frequently kept you in our prayers. We continue to pray for you now and thank God that in His son Jesus, we will all be reunited with our loved ones again.

My 96 year old mother, Christine Caine, attended sunday school and confirmation class with Ed as children in Elizabeth New Jersey. Nearly 60 years later, in 1980, they unexpectedly met again when Ed christened my infant son at Gloria Dei here in New Orleans. My mother came down from NJ for the service, which was flooded out during a terrible storm, but when we were able to meet up at the church that evening for a small service, mom and Pastor Ed were ASTOUNDED to make this connection...so long after, and so far from, their childhood homes. My mom is still well and i've sent her Pastor Ed's obituary as she will surely be proud of his many wonderful activities over a long meaningful career. She joins me in sending condolences to your family. Karin Giger Eustis

God bless Pastor Ed... he touched so many lives over the years. I will always fondly remember Sundays at Gloria Dei in the early 80s when he always allowed me (then 7 or 8 years old) to walk with him down the aisle to greet the congregation on their way out following the benediction. He will be missed.

To the Homrighausen Family, especially Marjorie and Lois: This message from the Commander in Chief of the Universe: "Ed has arrived in the glorious splendor of heaven. He has joined the great multitude of those wearing white robes standing before the throne and in front of the Lamb declaring: ' Salvation belongs to our God, who sit son the throne and to the Lamb.'" (Rev. 7:9-17) May our Lord comfort you in the certainty of our resurrection in Christ and the great reunion with all those saints who have gone before us. In Christian love--Ken and Jane Schamens

Rest in pease Pastor Ed. You were a great teacher, Pastor and Father to your family and to my family. There was no one on this earth like you, and it's a true blessing to everyone you touched!
