Laura Elizabeth Alphonse Baroni passed away on November 10, 2017 at the age of 52 after valiantly fighting breast cancer for almost 10 years. She leaves behind her husband Joseph A. Baroni, Jr. and her two sons Michael Joseph Baroni and Dominick Joseph Baroni. She was born on August 25, 1965 in New Orleans. She is additionally survived by her parents Margaret Berbuesse Alphonse and Anthony Joseph Alphonse and her sister Stacey Marie Alphonse.

She is a St. Mary’s Dominican H.S. graduate from 1983. She earned her BA in Education from UNO and then became certified in Early Childhood. She was a full time teacher until the birth of her children when she became a full time mom. She was active in her children’s activities and involved at St. Francis Xavier School.

Laura was a loving and kind person to her family, friends, and all that she met. She fought so long and hard because she loved her family more than anything and wanted to protect them. Our hearts are broken that she will not be with us and we will miss her beautiful smile.

Laura and her family have been humbled by the love and support of so many people over the last 10 years who have gone above and beyond to help our family. We would like to additionally thank all of the doctors and nurses who worked tirelessly to keep her cancer at bay.

Family and friends are invited to attend the Night Wake at Jacob Schoen & Son at 3827 Canal St. Tuesday, November 14th from 5 to 8 P.M. There will be a visitation on Wednesday, November 15th from 9 to 11 A.M. The Funeral Mass will celebrated at 11 A.M. in the J. Garic Schoen Chapel.
