We were saddened to learn of Peggy's recent passing, our old childhood and neighborhood friend. We lived across the street from each other on Green Street and grew up together in the 40's and early 50's. She was a great person, very friendly and outgoing with a lot of verve and energy. When we think back to our childhood, growing up in a simpler time, Peggy will always be a part of those memories. Our sincere condolences and prayers to her family at this time for your profound loss.

To all my dear cousins: Aunt Peggy was one of a kind and a true New Orleans character. We all grew up together and the families were always very close. My Dad loved y'all like his own children and your Mom loved us like hers. We love you all very much. What a hard year for your whole family.

Steve, John, Frank, Rick, Ann, and Peggy, I am so sorry I can't be there to celebrate Aunt Peggy's life with you. She was a joyful part of my life, and I have missed her (and so much of our family) since I moved away from New Orleans. She was an amazing woman, and she had a great sense of humor and a bigger heart than most. She had the best hugs and the brightest smile. I loved her very much, and I am glad she is pain free and with God. I bet she is dancing in Heaven!
