Arthur Rene Pittari

Arthur Rene Pittari, 77, died August 8, 2022. He was preceded in death by his parents, Merle de la Bretonne Pittari and Frank Joseph Pittari, and his sister, Frances Pittari Lowery.  He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Bebe Cay Williams, and his sister, Merle Pittari Bordelon. 

As a native New Orleanian, Arthur spent a lifetime in construction from residential to marine and heavy/industrial.  He was known for his ability to mentor young, upcoming professionals in the industry to become successful. He felt his greatest life achievement was building his Acadian-style cottage from refurbished New Orleans materials. Their home in the woods of Washington Parish is known as Possum Hollow and over the years provided love and shelter for many rescued beagles.

Arthur never met a stranger.  He touched and influenced many lives and was loved by everyone who knew him.  He was not one for flowery descriptions, so in typical Arthur humor he often made the request that his obituary read, “He died.” 

Donations may be made to the Folsom Animal Hospital, Folsom, Louisiana in memory of Arthur.  A memorial service will be held at a later date.
