Judith Lynn DeCorte

Judith Lynn De Corte born April 7, 1945 in New Orleans, died March 25, 2024. A native resident of Metairie and parishioner of St.Angela Merici. Retired from the New Orleans District Attorney's Office and Newman Mathis Law Firm. Preceded in death by her parents Basil Thomas DeCorte and Camilla Papa DeCorte, her sister Camille DeCorte Punch, and her granddaughter Isabel Lily Songy. Survived by her two sons, Darrin Michael Songy (Paula), and Stephen Paul Songy, her daughter Renee Lynn Songy, and her granddaughter, Dana Camille Gainey. Also survived by her brother, Gerald B DeCorte (Marcelle). Judy also leaves behind a large extended family and a group of lifelong friends.

Visitation will be on Thursday, April 18, 2024 at Jacob Schoen Funeral Home on Canal Street, from 10:00 a.m. until noon, followed by a mass. Private interment to follow.

In lieu of flowers, a donation to St. Jude Children's Hospital would be very much appreciated.
