Roman Baldomero Gomez

Roman B. Gomez was born February 28, 1946 in Guatemala City. He founded his bakery to help out his family. He later moved to New Orleans, LA in 1979. He opened his first shoe repair shop in Gretna, LA and named it Gretna Village Shoe Repair. He later opened a second location on Magazine St. in New Orleans, LA. Roman was a very crafty person. A real “Jack of All Trades”. Roman had a very kind heart, he was a loving husband and a great father to his children. Roman is survived by his wife Brenda A. Gomez, four sons: Byron R. Gomez, Roman H. Gomez, David Gomez, William Gomez, his daughter Brenda Gomez and a granddaughter Aaliyah Gomez. He passed away on May 11, 2020 at Tulane Medical center. Roman will not be forgotten. He will live on Forever. Unfortunately, due to government regulations, only a limited number of relatives and friends are allowed to attend funeral services.
