Byron and I were always thrilled to see Dorothy and her precious golden retriever, Charlie, on their walks around the park in our neighborhood. They would join us with our two older golden retrievers, Cody and Beaux, who I'm sure are there at her side now. They loved her along with our cat, Parker, who took to her and Charlie, immediately, when she first visited our home with Charlie. Parker is a very skittish cat and usually runs away from everyone when they come to our house. Animals can tell when someone loves them, and Dorothy loved all animals.
She had a wonderful sense of humor and we always had such fun with her. I remember all of us laughing so hard together. I'll always remember those smiling eyes and her mischievous smile. We loved hearing stories about her childhood and her past with her beloved husband, Jack, and daughter, JC. She did not much like compliments, and she disagreed that she was a good mom. She said it was Jack 's influence on JC that she blossomed into such a beautiful, kind and successful woman. I know she loved both Jack and JC very much. JC has been such a devoted daughter to her. Dorothy was blessed to have her at her side throughout her difficult journey these past few years.
Dorothy would be very pleased to know that Charlie is living on at Vista Shores to provide comfort to the residents there, as he did for her, at her side, loving her unconditionally.
We miss you so much Dorothy. Rest in peace.

All our love Byron, Kay, Parker, and our new golden retrievers Chief and Kassie
